Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses

Jocelyn, on February 24, 2020 at 12:48 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
Hi all,

Now that I’ve found my dress (YAY!!!), I’m starting to look for bridesmaid dress companies. I’d love to do either 1) same color taupe but different style dresses or 2) different shades of taupe and different style dresses. Either way, I’d like to keep them all the same and possibly have my maid of honor in a similar color as the bridesmaids’ dresses but maybe beaded or textured. Hoping to find dresses under $120. We’re in the LA area if anyone knows of any good stores too!
I’ve only really looked at Dear Cleo, Birdy Grey, and Lulu’s.
Thanks in advance!

All of our bridesmaids wore different shades of mauve and chose their own styles, it turned out great in my opinion. If you want to choose between different shades or different styles, I would definitely go with different styles. The color doesn't matter that much, but each bridesmaid having a style that they feel comfortable in is super important. I'll echo PP on Azazie, we couldn't have been happier with them.

    Hi Jocelyn,
I'm getting my bridesmaids dresses from jjshouse, some people have had bad things to say about them but I've always had good luck, I've purchased 4 special occasion dresses from them in the last 2 years, I'm excited to see your dress, any pictures?Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses 1
This will be my bridesmaids dress, but in lilac, not this blue on the model, the other 4 dresses I've gotten over the last 2 years, I love them all.Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses 2

Azazie, David's Bridal, JJ's House, Revelrie, ASOS, and For Her and For Him are all companies you can check out as well.

If you start liking wedding, bridal, and bridesmaids posts on Instagram (or from those companies) the ads will come to you and you won't have to search all that much, LOL.

I did the second option. I am having them pick out different dress styles and different shades of blue. My girls are pretty excited of the freedom and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I'm doing Biscotti dresses from David's Bridal. They definitely have no shortage on styles and everyone has access to a DB.

    Hey!

My girls are wearing the same color of Moss Green but a variation of dresses. It was sooo difficult to find the perfect shade of green but I finally did. I also wanted everyone to be comfortable in their dresses, so I told them to pick whatever dress they liked. Here's the website they ordered from.

Thanks for all the recs guys!! On that same note, I'm searching bridesmaid dress "product" pins on Pinterest, and a lot of these websites don't seem legitimate! Other than actual ad pins, are you experiencing the same thing? It's so sketchy!

I picked out a tulle skirt, 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a belt on amazon and sent the links to my bridemaids. Overall, it cost each girl about $45

I am using Azazie for my bridesmaids dresses. You can all link your profiles in a party and you can make an album of all the ones you want and/or the ones with just that color you like most. You can try for $10 before you buy and if I remember right it was $100. I'd have to go back and look, but that's where I picked for my bridesmaids. I was having such a hard time finding the exact color purple I wanted and they mailed me free 4 free swatches. Very happy so far.

My girls got their dresses at Lulu's and Azazie for Jr. Bridesmaid. I like the mix and match look!

As much as I am not a fan of online shopping (especially for any clothes), I ended up going with Azazie which is an online bridal store-I am very happy with the results. I had a really hard time finding the exact color purple I was looking for and they are the only ones that have it so far. I ordered free swatches and they were the exact color. You can have your girls link their account and you can save all the dresses that have the same color and they can click on the ones they really like and think on it or change their minds. $10 dollars to send to you and try, you can get their size dresses or your measurements for the same price, and I believe the dresses I am looking at were $100. I’d have to go back and check.
