Mismatched floral for 2 bridesmaids?

I would not expect any problem with that. You have selected a floral look that you love. There is no rule that everyone has to look exactly the same. As a common trend nowadays, the bridesmaids wear different color dresses within a certain theme of colors. I suspect the shared colors came just because bridesmaids choosing their own style and color across five or six of them might be a bit distraction. This is not a problem with two.

My bridesmaids wore two shades of the same color! One in long sleeve and one in a sleeveless dress. There were only two of them and it looked really nice! I think as long as their outfits don’t “clash” it’ll be fine!

I have certainly seen mismatched dresses but not bouquets, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm not sure anyone would even really notice.

I think the mismatched floral look would work BETTER with a small bridal party. When you get too many of them, it just starts looking haphazard and sloppy, and a lot of different patterns can be very overwhelming. I think 1-3 BMs would work perfectly for floral dresses 🙂

I'm not a fan of the mismatched look especially florals. I would think it would look sloppy and distracting in photos.

I think mismatched floral would be beautiful with two bridesmaids. I would have your BMs run the exact dress/style by you first before purchasing to make sure they look cohesive. If there are similar colors, the florals are similar size patterns, etc it can totally work!

I’m not sure if you’ve checked them out, but Baltic Born has some pretty floral velvet dresses, which would be perfect for an October wedding! And their dresses are available in a huge array of sizes and look good on all body types

I think it would depend on the colors and patterning in each dress. Solid colors are a bit easier to mix and match since the main deviating focal point is the color. Adding a pattern into the mix throws in a whole different element, and sometimes if they don't look cohesive it can look distracting or disorganized. If you want to do a floral pattern, I'd suggest maybe finding dresses with either the same pattern and different background colors or the same background color with different colored florals. They don't need to be the same, but they should have some coordinating elements.

I think the only thing that would look actually awkward would be if you had more than 2 (like 3-5) mismatched, or especially if 2 people matched well and the others were totally different.

However, I don't know if they will really look like Bridesmaids if they are just wearing different patterned floral dresses. The only time it might be clear is when they're actually standing next to you at the altar.

If that's not important to you or them, then go for it!
