I can't think of the name of it, but there is this beautiful white Victorian hotel on the water in Lake George. I believe it's a little pricey, but if you want to take that route, it really is nice. Also, are you and your fiancé into history or outdoorsy activities? Pharaoh wilderness is absolutely stunning. It is at the north end of Lake George and stretches to Schroon Lake. If you are into hiking at all, the views are beautiful. Also Fort Ticonderoga is a day trip from Lake George. If history is your thing, it's pretty awesome. I took these from the top of Pharaoh mountain.
