Mini-Moon in Georgia (Suggestions Wanted)

Anna, on September 12, 2017 at 7:30 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4

We were planning on staying in town the weekend of our wedding to see some out of town guests, but they had to cancel because of personal reasons.

Not looking to take a full honeymoon but just a mini-moon. Looking for somewhere nice to stay where we could go to for Friday night after our reception ends at 8:00 PM and stay until Sunday afternoon or so.

We had considered Savannah before but that seems to far for such a short stay. Maybe somewhere in north Georgia or a hidden gem in Atlanta? We are local to the Kennesaw area.

Not looking to spend more than $400 a night if we can help it. Really want somewhere that is close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel like we went somewhere.

I'm from GA, and there are really pretty towns in North GA. you could look into Blue Ridge or Hellen. If I had to choose between the two I would definitely say Blue Ridge! And on top of that it's absolutely beautiful during the Fall

I love Savannah, but it's definitely a drive, so I understand.

Not sure what you're looking for but you're about 75 miles away from the Blue Ridge and I'm sure there's several hotels or B&Bs up there. I'm a nature girl so that was my first thought. There appears to be an orchard, drive in, vineyard and lots of other things to do around the area.

    Good luck!

I saw some rooms with a jacuzzi in them and can't get that wonderful, relaxing thought out of my head. Trying to make sure that one aspect of a room goes along with the fun of the place we decide to spend our time at as well.

I second Helen, GA. It will be Oktoberfest around the time of your wedding. The town is made to look like Germany and there are a lot of shops. But IMO its a 1 2 day trip max there. But you could always do both.
