Milwaukee Wedding Venue Help

I've been having a lot of trouble finding a wedding venue in the Milwaukee area. Nothing is giving me that wow feeling. I'm looking for a naturally beautiful outdoor area for an outdoor ceremony and inside reception area. I thought I had found a great place. We were looking at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, however, I get a weird vibe from the person I've been emailing with that they could care less about me and my questions until they get paid. Understandable to a point, but it's just a little offputting for a first impression and I'd like to know what I'm paying for first, ya know? Has anyone experienced this before and how did that play out? I'm new to this whole things so I'm trying to get an idea of what I'm in for.
