Midwest honeymoon

Kara, on October 7, 2019 at 7:56 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
Hey all! My boo and I cannot do a traditional honeymoon right away but are wanting to do a little extended weekend trip. We are thinking somewhere driveable (within 4 hours from Omaha, NE) But we also don't want to break the bank. Lodging is important to us. We would love something with a nice jacuzzi/whirlpool on room. We love eating out, and exploring city life and adventurous activities but we also like to stay to ourselves and enjoy time just one on one so a hotel/room that we want to spend time in would be great. Any suggestions are welcome!!

I know it’s crazy but I freaking love North Platte although I’ve never done much there but chill out and eat Japanese food. The Great Value Inn there offers honeymoon suites.

Chicago or the Wisconsin Dells might be good for this? Or even a trip to the Twin Cities? Or KCMO?

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Kara Smiley smile

If lodging is what’s more important to you, I would recommend you start your search by looking at this first. Check out sites like TripAdvisor, Bookings, com etc. to search for the type of amenities you’re looking for within the 4 hours radius! This may be the best way to find exactly what you want while staying within budget Smiley smile

I recently moved to Kansas City and would HIGHLY recommend visiting! There is always something to do and there are AMAZING cocktail bars, breweries & distilleries, and tons of great food. I grew up near Des Moines and would actually recommend there for food and breweries too! Feel free to message me if you want specific recommendations in either of those places! Food and nightlife are my specialty Smiley laugh Smiley laugh
