Mexico

I'm not sure about right now with the pandemic, but I love Mexico. I prefer Riveria Maya and Playa Mujeres to Cancun (it's about 20 minutes away) because you tend to have the more sprawling resorts, while Cancun usually has more of the highrise resort hotels and is more of a party atmosphere with the strip. Excellence is fantastic and has 2 resorts in the Cancun area (Riviera Cancun and Playa Mujeres) and Secrets is good and has many in the area, but with Secrets some of them are better than others.

We just came back last weekend. You can travel there and while we had a good time I got tested the day after I got back. We didn't wear masks while at the resort but still worked to keep our distance and sanitize but some guests acted like Corona was over. We stayed Excellence Playa Mujeres and loved it. Just take precautions.

Sounds beautiful & fun! We’re going to Jamaica in April for our honeymoon to a Sandals resort. Super excited! We’re going to be tested before & after.

View Quoted Comment Yes I HIGHLY recommend Excellence Riviera Maya! Haven’t been for a honeymoon but we’ve gone for several regular vacations and it’s gorgeous and romantic (adults only!) and overall just incredible. Great staff, great service, I can’t say enough good things about it!
