Menu Selections

I don’t know how I overlooked this, but when guests RSVP on the Wedding Wire website, they can choose their menu selection.

Whatever; no biggie. I didn’t put an option specifically saying, “We will be serving turkey and ham,” because around here, caterers set everything up buffet-style. Easy-peesy.
Here’s the hangup: people are RSVPing with beef and chicken as their menu selections.
I had my heart set on smoked turkey and ham, mostly because the wedding will be in a turkey-and-ham season. (Much to the shock of some that it’s not chicken and beef “like everyone else.”)
How do I fix this? *Can* I fix this? Should I just suck it up and get chicken and beef so my guests will be happy? I could still have turkey or ham some other time, right?

Hi Brittani! You can turn off the meal choice right away in your Guest List!!

    Here's how:

    • - Login to your WeddingWire account

    • - Hover your cursor over 'Planning Tools' and click ‘Guest List' from the drop down options

    • - Click into the wedding event you would like to disable meal tracking for

    • - Click the blue 'Settings' text on the right side of the screen

    • - Uncheck the box next to 'Track Meals' and click the blue 'Save' button

Once Meal Tracking has been disabled for a wedding event, your guests will no longer see the option to choose a meal for that event during the RSVP process.

You could send a message to the guests who have already RSVPed with a meal selection letting them know that the food will actually be a buffet with turkey and ham!
