May 8, 2021 wedding in Va. Would love to

As of now, I am still going forward with my May 8, 2021 wedding. The current restrictions for 10 people max for indoor/outdoor events are in effect until January 31. I’m sort of just waiting until after that to hear what the governor says, but praying that with the vaccine and warmer weather, I will at least be able to have 100 people. Am I delusional? Any other VA spring brides going forward as well? What’s everyone’s thoughts?

    My wedding is on March 6 in Virginia and I am carrying on with the same delusion Smiley smile

    I was initially hoping the numbers will go up to 25 people but the data isn't looking great. I'm contemplating streaming the wedding, but I'm just not sure it's worth it.

    I do think things will be better by May. Not 100% better, but you're in a better position than me!

    Hi Jourdan! I agree with Laura - things will definitely be in a better place by May, but I'm not sure that 100+ person events will be cleared yet!!

    I think having a back-up plan in mind for 25-50 guests would be smart as well! Here's a recent discussion you should check out as well where brides weighed in on their spring wedding plans:

    I'm May 22. Im continuing as planned. My FH is fussing at me because I'm stressing out and jumping the gun on things. Lol. He loves me. But we have been talking about back up plans. I know our guest list will probably shrink from the 250 to 100 or less.
