There is a Maui fb page if you want to join that. People are super helpful with ideas. Maui girl photography is pretty reasonable price wise.

I don’t have much advice other than I would recommend Jenny Vargas Photography, she did our e-pics and was great Smiley smile also Beauty By Kristine for makeup (she doesn’t do airbrush though)

    Hi Kelsie Smiley smile

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Smiley smile

If you’re struggling with where to start your wedding planning journey, I would recommend you check out the Wedding Wire Checklist. All you have to do is tell it a little about your wedding (date, etc) and it will create customizable tasks for every stage of the planning journey. It displays tasks in chronological order leading up to your big day, so it’s a great blueprint for what to tackle next in the wedding planning. It’s super helpful!

One of the very first steps in planning a wedding is deciding on your wedding budget. Take some time to discuss this with your FS and decide what this will be. These articles from the WeddingWire ideas section have loads of information on what to consider when setting your budget and how to split it out:

Setting Up Your Wedding Budget - details key factors to bear in mind while building a wedding budget.

Wedding Budget Breakdown 101: How to Divide & Conquer - help figure out what percentage of your total wedding budget should be allocated to food, flowers, entertainment, etc.

Are you based in Hawaii or will this be a destination wedding for you?

White Orchid Weddings has a lovely and intimate package at the Old Lahaina Luau. You have a small ceremony and then the reception is at the luau, with VIP seating. They do a whole package with flowers, officiant, cake and more: https://www.oldlahainaluau.com/weddings/

    Kelsie,
I will also be getting married in Maui! Congrats 😃 on your engagement.
You can connect and message me on here with any questions. But the first thing I suggest is getting a budget and getting a rough estimate of guests. After that, look at venues that can accommodate both of those and are near a location you like.
Hope this is a start, Happy Planning!

Kelsie, if you are planning a wedding on West Maui, Coconut Condos vacation rentals give 10% discount to wedding parties. They manage condos in different resorts on West Maui. The best bet to have a large group stay at the same place would be at Aina Nalu in Lahaina . Their prices are much lower than registering through hotels. I like that they have luxury bedding, full kitchens, and complimentary beach equipment - chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and even baby supplies for guest with little kids. I hope this helps!

Hi, I just got married in Maui in May! Budget is definitely a smart thing to start with. it will help determine the size of your guest list, your venue and vendor options, etc. Do you have a date picked yet?
