Matron of Honor

Olivia, on March 7, 2023 at 2:21 AM Posted in Planning 0 2
My mom has always been my best friend and my role model and I have always wanted her to be a part of my special day. Got any suggestions for what I should do for her role as my matron of honor

That’s so great that your mom is going to be your MOH! I would just treat her like you would any MOH. Remember it’s a position of honor, so try not to impose obligations or expectations on her other than standing with you the day of. Since she’s your mom, though, I suspect she’ll want to be more involved in the planning process, which will be so fun and special for both of you. And get her a nice thank you gift! I’m sure she’ll absolutely love getting to stand up with you on your day.

One thing, though, have you actually talked to her about doing this yet? I think it’s super sweet, but the MOH also has a different vantage point of the ceremony from the other guests. So I would just double check that she wouldn’t miss out on just sitting back from a reserved spot in the front row and being able to relax and watch the whole ceremony. Moms can be so particular about that stuff. But you know her best and what she’ll like and appreciate!
