Maryland Brides what Now?

Ladies 😩 What are we going to do? Governor Hogan just issued the 10 persons max gathering limit. When the Mayor did it last Friday for the city it was already over for us (our venue is in Baltimore City) but now that the Governor just stated it, I really don't see a chance for us now. We were hoping he'd lift it come February 😬

Also I see that telework is now mandatory for all state workers and there is no in-person customer facing operations at state facilities...so does that mean that even if we wanted to try for a court house wedding, we're no longer able to?
I feel stuck. Thoughts?

Oh no !! I didnt see this, and our wedding is January 16th!
I think Hogans statement is just an "advisory" for the holiday gatherings and not a mandate, so I would hope by February/March you will be okay. Best wishes to you - us COVID brides have really been put through the ringer!

Hogan definitely did this for the holidays lol he will lift it right after, I'm sure. & as far as the courthouse wedding, that's a no. I work for a circuit court and the license department was only accepting appointments for marriages. Now that hogan did what he did yesterday, I'm pretty sure that is shutting down completely.

Trust me I get it 🤦🏾‍♀️ But like I said I feel like after the holidays he will loosen the restrictions again. Hogan doesn't want to be shut down lol

I hope they open it up by February. We are going to wait to the end of January to pay off our venue and everything else. I hope I'll be able to get our license!!! 😩 everytime I could go they was closed, and I couldn't get an appointment til this month!! 🤦🏾‍♀️😢

I know smh. I thought they would lift it after New Years. I saw that the Mayor is supposed to make another statement on the 15th so we'll see then. At this point we're running out of 2021 dates...we submitted 3 additional dates to our vendors just in case and not one of those dates were available by all of them 😫 OVER IT! Honestly it's just not even safe anymore. Really rethinking it all.

My venue said that means 25% capacity. I'm only inviting 75 people (if they come). At 25% I could have 125 people at my venue.
