Hey y’all,
I have a question for y’all. I am having my wedding soon and I talked to the city clerk. They said when I fill out the rest of my marriage license with my fiancée in person, I can pre pay for copies of my marriage certificates to get mailed to me by express shipping. Has anyone done this before? If so, how fast did you receive the marriage certificates by express mail? (For reference I am doing this in Connecticut)

Hi Brookelynn! The express shipping means you’ll get your certificates within 1-2 days, but there’s still processing time on your marriage certificate.
I got married in NC, but we were told to give them a call two weeks after our wedding date to see if they were ready. We picked up our copies about a month after our wedding!
I’d ask the city clerk what the expected processing time will be after mailing in your completed and signed license!!
