March Honeymoon

Chloe, on January 20, 2024 at 11:35 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 2
Hi! My fiance and I are eloping March 2 on our spring break. We want to go somewhere for about 4 days in the US. We are history buffs and want a variety of the water and things to do. We’ve looked at Savannah GA/Tybee Island, Charleston SC/Hilton Head, Jackson Hole WY, St. Augustine FL, Grand Canyon area. Let me know your experience and the weather there. We know some of these have high rain fall and would like to avoid that.

Charleston is COLD in March, and can be very windy. Weather in the south begins to be nicer the closer you are to mid or late April. I would go to Saint Augustine if you do have your honeymoon in March, but would inquire the locals as far as what the weather is like at that time of year. The Grand Canyon will still be COLD and very dry. The wind will whip you if you are not prepared. Spring doesn't hit Arizona until late March/ early April.

I've been to Charleston and Savannah, and they're both packed with history and charm. Weather-wise, March should be pretty pleasant in the South. Maybe a tad rainy, but nothing too crazy. Grand Canyon might still be a bit chilly, but it's breathtaking any time of year. Can't go wrong with any of your choices, but my personal pick would be Charleston or Savannah for that perfect mix of history and coastal vibes.
