Low Key or Major Vacation

Laura, on July 22, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10

Still trying to decide on a honeymoon, and we are debating if we use the "excuse" of a honeymoon to plan a big vacation trip to Japan or Europe, or if we want to just do something easy and relaxing close to home. Opinions anyone? What is your honeymoon plan?

My FH and I talked about this too! We decided to do a bigger vacation because ya never know when kids may come along or what financial hardships may happen in the future! We're doing it now while we can!

I went on a 2.5 week honeymoon to Japan and hong kong. So worth it aha. I mean we vacation every year so regardless we were gonna go on this trip anyway.

We debate this heavily too. Debated Italy (#1 bucket list place) and South Carolina (also never been, but driving distance and simple). Ended up doing something in the middle, the Bahamas. Neither of us had ever been and it’s a very fancy/special “honeymoon” place but also only a 2.5 hour flight from us. And much more low key and relaxing than Italy.

As much as I did/still do want to do a big Europe trip, right after our wedding was NOT the time for that. We were so exhausted (physically and mentally) all we wanted to do was lay on the beach and sleep lol. The first night there we slept for 12 hours straight.

We’re going to do a big trip to Italy as we figured same as the PP that you just never know what will happen in the near future after that. That being said we’re going a couple months after the wedding not right away.

We decided to go big and use the “excuse”. We both really wanted it to be something special and since we aren’t the relaxing type on vacations going big felt like the right choice. I’d go with what your gut is telling you.

We are going all out, because we are planning on having kids within the next few years and then we won’t have as much of the opportunity to go on a vacation that is special for just the two of us. We are going to France and Greece for a total of about 10 days, and after we return we will start saving money for kids and a new house Smiley smile we are also going a little over a month after the wedding when I am off work for the summer

I'm gonna be the odd ball and and maybe look at the other side of it haha! My FH and I decided on Maui Hawaii, just because we know we will be so exhausted after the wedding. We'll be doing helicopter rides and the road to Hana and such, but we have been talking about a trip to Santorini, Greece within the next year or so! So this will be a nice relaxed vaca! But you can't go wrong either way honestly!

We considered this too! We ultimately decided a low key caribean vacation because we will need to unwind from the wedding

For our honeymoon we're going to do a 5 day cruise. We picked a cruise because it's very affordable and fits in our budget. We will save up to go on a huge vacation for our 1 year anniversary.
