Hi Loves,
I’m getting married in September and we had our caterer tasting today and the food was phenomenal. However, I’m vegetarian and I was full after just sampling the three appetizers. I’m wondering if we are serving too much food.
We have three appetizers including sliders, assorted crudités with dips, and finally spinach, cream cheese dip with roasted tomatoes and pita chips. We then have a full dinner shortly to follow with one meat entree, two delicious sides, a vegetable and salad with rolls.
My caterer is phenomenal, but I feel like we don’t necessarily need three appetizers and a full dinner. My fiancé doesn’t want to take any of the food home or have a ton of leftovers to give away before we head out for our honeymoon. I also don’t want my guests to starve and I feel like appetizers or dinner only is not enough. My wedding is at 2pm in the afternoon and our reception is at 4pm with a cocktail hour in between.
Are we serving too much food or given the length of our reception from 4pm - 10pm… is that an acceptable amount of food?
Denise
