Hi I was born and raised in New Orleans. My entire venue is a 1 stop shop in Metairie called the Balcony.

@Charlene, BR born & raised here. I know some local BR spots that would make some pretty Bridal portraits...could you pass on your local knowledge on beautiful NO locations?

Bumping....are there really almost no other LA brides or grooms

New Orleans here..born and raised!!! Our wedding and reception will be at Celebrations...we're not doing any engagement photos and all of the pics will be taken at the venue.

I'm from Lafayette, he's from Erath, and we're getting married in Grand Coteau on November 17.
So many of the options presented here or on other sites are focused on larger cities that I'm a bit frustrated. I'm relying on a few select friends that collaborate with photographers, florists, etc on a regular basis to get my recommendations.

We are getting married at The Gatehouse in BR.

I am from Harvey, LA but have been living in Newburyport , MA since Hurricane Katrina . Katrina was a life altering for my 2 sons and I but in some ways if that had not happened I would have not meet my future husband . My sons and I felt that we had to go home to get married and bring all our New England friends and family to the Big Easy.
We will be getting married Thanksgiving weekend in Jackson Sq and holding our reception at Pat O Brien on the River .

Hi! Born and raised in Baton Rouge! Our wedding will be at Stage 1 in January of next year!

I'm from Baton Rouge. We're having the ceremony/reception at The Oaks on 22 in Ponchatula, LA. I searched about 75-100 venues online, went and visited about 25 in person and The Oaks is by far the best deal for the best price in my opinion. My budget is only $11,000 and the groom and I are paying for everything ourselves so I have to hunt the best prices for everything!! I found a great Photographer on Thumbtack that will do 5 hours, editing, full release of all photos, bridals and engagements for $950. I'm getting my favors off Etsy, 108 shot personalized glasses for $98.00. Now I'm searching for florists and bakeries. Believe it or not, the cheapest florist I've found so far is in New Orleans, usually anything coming out of that city is outrageous, lol!! Anyone have any suggestions for any good, well priced venders??

View Quoted Comment I almost chose the Gatehouse!! We decided on The Oaks, but were really close to having it at Gatehouse!! If we would have chosen the Gatehouse we could only afford the 75 person package, with The Oaks, we get 100. The outside area was one of the prettiest areas I've seen at venues!! And I loved how the cake and grooms cakes were included!!

I know this post is from a while ago but I just wanted to check in as a Louisiana Bride!!! My fiance and I are getting married summer of 2021. I have not come up with a budget but being that we are paying for everything on our own I want to find the best deals!! The hardest thing is finding a venue that is NOT all inclusive in the New Orleans or surrounding areas. If anyone knows of anything let me know please
