Hi Ladies!

I am looking for a DJ that is familiar with African music in the DMV area for my wedding. I also want them to play other genres (Top 40, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock etc) but would like someone who is knowledgable about West African music as my FH and I's families are both from Ghana. Anyone have any recommendations for a DJ in the area?

Have you had the chance to browse the WeddingWire vendor search? You can filter by ‘International Music’ so I think it would definitely worth checking it out. Here are the Washington DC Wedding DJs that we have listed.
Have you been to the wedding of a family member or friend that had a DJ familiar with African music? If so, I would definitely suggest reaching out to them to inquire about how and where they found them.
Most DJs will ask for song suggestions and playlists from you so that they are confident with the type of music that they will play at your wedding, so if you are able to compile a list of African songs, you could ask a DJ to incorporate them into their setlist for your wedding.
