Looking for a Bridal Boutique! Help!

Aubrey, on June 17, 2019 at 2:55 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 16
Hi all!

I just moved to this area and would love to start my dress search!! But I’m not sure where to begin!

I would love to know where you purchased (or are planning to) your gown and why! Any pros/cons of local boutiques would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I’m willing to travel, to a degree, ideally, I’d like to stay within the Bergen/Essex area.

Thank you!!

It will help if you include what city and state you're in since this is a nationwide forum and that information doesn't show up in your post.

I bought my gown at David's Bridal. I actually started my search online, and their website has a lot of good tools for finding your best style, choosing favorites, etc.

I apologize! I’m so excited, it’s making me such a space case!

I just moved to the Northern part of New Jersey.

I would like to stay within that area, so ideally, hopefully, the Bergen/Essex areas.

I’ve done a bit of research for a few salons, but I think hearing personal opinions/experiences is way better than a review!

If you're willing to go into NYC, RK Bridal is a great bridal store! Many options and a variety of price points.

Sorry I just seen that you want to stay in Jersey. Unfortunately, I live in Jersey also and didn't visit any bridal shops in the state.

    Hi!
I would like to, if possible. Where did you go for yours? If you don’t mind, why didn’t you visit any in-state?

    It does!
I think im looking more for feedback about the salons in the area. Helps me narrow down where I’ll book appointments!

I had a few dresses in mind and RK Bridal kept coming up as a retailer. I work in NYC so I thought it would be easy to go during a lunch break or after work.
Once I selected the dress, they offered to ship it to my house without tax; I only had to pay for shipping ($50).

I found boutiques on WW and the knot. I am more central jersey so not sure what's up that way.

I’m not sure about north jersey as I am more central / jersey shore. I got my dress at The Curvy Bride in Manalapan which specializes in plus size dresses. If you are looking for regular sizes, I recommend David’s Bridal (multiple locations) or Cinderella Bridal in Matawan, which is also central jersey. Good luck in your search!

Never posted here before but got excited. DEFINITELY check out Cherished Bridals in Pompton Lakes! It's a small sample shop so prices are slashed at least by 50% and the dresses are gorgeous!! Barbara, the owner, was awesome to shop with!

In Bergen county there’s bijou bridal in Paramus that’s where I got my dress from along with several of my friends they have a great selection, I chose to get my dress from them because I had a certain dress I wanted to try on and they were the only store when I asked would get the sample from the designer for me and I would up buying that particular dress. They were super helpful in helping during the process and making sure I tried on a variety of styles which I appreciated. Jaehee bridal in englewood nj I also heard is wonderful and they also have a wide selection. As for Essex I’ve heard Park Avenue Bridal in Cedar Grove is nice too. Let me know if you need any more recommendations I’m a Bergen county native and went to college in Essex County Smiley smile

I am from Essex county and I went to Seng Coture in Fanwood today and found my dress. I had the best experience there. It’s not in Bergen or Essex County but it isn’t too far from Essex county.

I wound up getting my dress from Jaehee Bridal in Englewood. I had my heart set on completely different dresses, but Olivia was able to pick out ones in silhouettes I never thought of trying on before that looked so much better on me. It was her which helped introduce me to the dress I wound up selecting! I would definitely suggest going there, but first, go through their website and reserve any of the ones you liked so that you make sure you get to try them on. Smiley smile
