Is your ceremony happening at the same place as your reception? -- Yes
Is your wedding venue inside or outside?-- Outside
Did you choose your wedding date based on your venue's availability, or your venue based on your wedding date?-- Wedding date based on work schedule
What are your wedding venue deal breakers? Must have enough room for parking, have indoor & outdoor venue options on site, room to gather outside, somewhat landscaped
What are your 3 favorite things about your venue? The river, semi-manicured lawn, games (pool & ping pong tables, corn hole, putting green
How would you describe your venue in 3 words? Countryside escape
Do you have a personal connection to your wedding venue? Other than we drive by it often, no connection. But we do now!

We didn't officially plan it but it worked out to be white & various shades of blue for the wedding party & grey linens w/fresh olive branches as the center pieces. Our venue was a country setting, outdoors so I think it all played well together

Did your ceremony happen at the same place as your reception?- yes! Same venue, but different spaces.


Was your wedding venue inside or outside?- both! We had the ceremony in an outdoor courtyard, and the reception inside.
Did you choose your wedding date based on venue availability, or choose your venue based on it being available on your preferred date?- we chose our date first. We wanted to get married on our dating anniversary 💕 So availability on that date was a dealbreaker for any venue we chose.
What were your wedding venue dealbreakers?-availability on our chosen date, a beautiful outdoor courtyard (with a water fountain) for the ceremony, separate spaces for the ceremony and reception, unlimited top shelf open bar.
What were the three favorite things about your venue? -Location, courtyard, food
How would you describe your venue in three words? - quintessential New Orleans.

Do you have a personal connection to your venue?- not the venue itself, but the city it was in. I have a deeply personal connection and love for New Orleans!

Is your ceremony happening at the same place as your reception?

No, it's a micro-wedding so we're probably just going out for dinner as a group after.

We have to be flexible with my fiancé coming on visa. We had a date in mind, it wasn't available, but another date a week later was presented. Worked for us!

What are your wedding venue dealbreakers?
No micro-wedding/elopement options, everything à la carte (assemble your own vendor team), quotas to meet. I thought it would be sparklers too but I learned the city we want to get married in ban them anyway so I've let that one go lol
What are your 3 favorite things about your venue?

The rescue animals (pics with a horsey anyone?), the friendliness/attentiveness of the team (they'll have a cart for my mobility challenged mom to get to the location!), the completely unique outdoor setting, and bonus favorite: only a few minutes drive from our hotel on the Strip. That one blows me away.

No, but I expect to after this! I just happened across it online and fell in love.

Technically no, but they're right next to each other

Outside. Ceremony is at a gazebo and reception is at a park pavilion

What are your wedding venue dealbreakers?Our dealbreakers were cost, having enough space for our guests, and we wanted either onsite or nearby lodging since all of our guests are traveling. I also really wanted pretty views, but that wasn't a hard dealbreaker
What are your 3 favorite things about your venue? Our ceremony space is on a little "island" and you have to walk across a bridge to get there, the reception space has room for yard games, it's walking distance to the cabins we rented so it's super convenient
How would you describe your venue in 3 words?Rustic, casual, DIY
Do you have a personal connection to your wedding venue?Not really. It's in a little mountain valley town about 30 minutes from our house - we stumbled upon it by chance and it's become one of our favorite hiking spots

Did you choose your wedding date based on your venue's availability, or your venue based on your wedding date? Based on my date but then I had to change my date because of Covid. Once that happened it was based on dates that the venue had available.

What are your wedding venue dealbreakers? How it looked on the outside and inside. Food as well.

How would you describe your venue in 3 words? It was magical

Do you have a personal connection to your wedding venue? Yes. My venue is where my cousin had her wedding. It was a good location where all guest can get to easily whether they live close by or stay at a hotel near the venue.
