Hello!! My fiancée and I are having a difficult time figuring out where to go for our honeymoon in July/August 2023. We went to the Maldives last year and stayed in an overwater villa with a butler and I gotta be honest… we peaked. We keep comparing every destination to that trip which was truly once in a lifetime and isn’t realistic. We want to go somewhere tropical for sure, but definitely not as far. We live on the east coast and ideally the journey would be 10 hours max. We love snorkeling, beaches, and are big on food and drinks. An all inclusive would be perfect for us… but we just CANNOT decide where to go and can’t even begin to narrow it down. We’ve already been to punta cana so that would be out but we’ve mostly been looking at places like Antigua or curaçao but just can’t commit to anything. SOS.

Oh man! An overwater bungalow in the Maldives is definitely tough to beat!!
What about a Caribbean island with a few more tourist activities? That way you still get the tropical destination and water sports, but can also explore locally and try out tons of restaurants??
I've heard amazing things about Turks and Caicos, Aruba has a bunch of fun casinos, and St. Martin is supposed to be a really cool experience - especially exploring both the Dutch and French sides!!

We absolutely love Aruba! There are so many beautiful sights to see, the locals are super friendly and the restaurants are out of this world!

Oh my, your trip to the Maldives sounds LOVELY. I echo everyone's recommendation on Aruba - it's gorgeous and we loved vacationing there. Turks and Caicos is also an absolutely gorgeous location for honeymoon. Otherwise, what about something more exotic, like Seychelles... or Bora Bora or Fiji for a Maldives-esque experience haha but these will definitely exceed your 10 hour max on travel duration. Maybe Sardinia in Italy or the Greek islands could be within your travel window? They're absolutely gorgeous - Milos in Greece was so special and we island hopped around the Greek islands on the eastern side which have a drier, more deserty climate. Islands on the eastern side of Greece are supposed to be insanely gorgeous as well (like Antipaxos -which was highly highly recommended to us by locals for next time - and Zakynthos) and have a more "tropical" climate with more greenery.
