    Congrats & welcome! 💍 🎉
First, take some time to enjoy your engagement.
Then, when you’re ready, you’ll have these big decisions to make:1) set your budget 2) determine your number of guests 2) choose your venue (having a theme can help)3) secure the date
Popular dates (Fri/Sat in Oct, Sep, May, June) and venues (and then vendors) often book a year in advance. Give yourself time to save money, have fun venue shopping, etc.

One of my coworkers just got engaged and I think my biggest tip to her was to remember that the wedding is about the two of you and what you want and how you want to express your love.

The second tip is that you prioritize how and where you want to spend your money and stick to a budget because weddings get expensive fast. For example, my husband and I knew we wanted a really good photographer so we were prepared to pay more for it.

Venues and food and drinks are usually the most expensive vendors so we wanted something high quality for a good price too. Read all contracts you get thoroughly to make sure you know the expectations/obligations.
