@La Brides - dtla flower mart

Maddie, on April 30, 2021 at 4:16 PM Posted in California Planning 1 5

Does anyone have experience shopping at the flower mart in DTLA? are prices pretty reasonable? Someone on Wedding Wire mentioned the wholesale flower delivery site, Fifty Flowers, and I'm wondering if their prices are cheaper than the DTLA flower market. Do you need a business license to get flowers at wholesale price there? Any insight appreciated Smiley heart

With all the homeless camps I could not figure out how to get in the stores. Watch out for needles!

I've heard good things about it, but never shopped there. I've been to the garment district many times. I'm planning a trip in June because I need altar flowers only.

Here's their link. You can go to the Our Vendors listings and call different ones to see what service are offered before you trek out there.

I went a couple of weeks ago. They have cleaned it up somewhat. Just know what you are going for.

The prices are really good and I would say much better then fifty flowers. And no you don’t need a business license. But I would go at least a few weeks before the wedding to become familiar, talk to people, see what’s there, and get general pricing so you can make a plan for what you need. When you’re actually getting the flowers for the wedding you should get them 2-3 days before the wedding, keep in buckets with a few inches of water that you change everyday, in a cool place, and this will allow them to open up a bit before the wedding day. Hope that helps!
