Kitchen Charm/Royal Prestige scam????

nicole, on March 5, 2017 at 11:18 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

I got a call today saying I won a 3d/2n stay for my FH and I in mexico, bahamas or dominican Republic, I was told that my recent attendance at a bridal expo was my ticket into winning. I had to claim my prize at a hotel. I attended and had to watch a cookware presentation. I did not buy cookware, but came home with these vouchers- what I wanna know, is are these legit? Has anyone actually attended these Odenza vacation? Are they a rip off? I am aware of the $178 booking deposit/taxes but Im curious if anyone has actually went through with it and attended these trips...I'm afraid it's a scam

I mean technically the presentation was not a scam.. they did give everything they promised. I got a voucher for free wedding bands, just pay shipping, free champagne flutes, just pay shipping. Free stay in the hotel, just pay airfare-- just don't know if its really all inclusive or if Ill give these people $178 to hold my room and Ill never hear from them again.

Looking for someone who actually went out and paid and went and if it was really 'all-inclusive'

I have gotten many of these calls after a bridal expo - every single one has wanted something from us to get the "prize."

    I would assume they're a scam.

It's not exactly a scam, but it's not a huge score either. The hotels those places partner with are pretty low end, so a 2 night stay is probably going to be somewhere in the $300 range retail. You have to pay almost $200, plus you have to pay your own airfare to get there, and then on top of that the dates you can use the voucher are extremely limited.

Long story short: if you already had plans to go to exactly that hotel on exactly the dates that the voucher is valid, it could save you a few bucks. But otherwise it's probably not worthwhile.
