Relax and enjoy being engaged. Don't choose your bridal party or venue, your gown or anything else. There is time for that in the last year. Just enjoy each other a while, maybe save some money, and be happy.

We chose our bridal/groom parties before he proposed since they will need time to save for travel, my sister is fairly poor and will need time to save to for traveling and same with my God sister, but we haven’t and won’t choose anything else until the end of the year and beyond!

I recommend setting up an email JUST for wedding stuff (you can get spammed like woah), as well as having a physical book/binder for all your notes and things.

Then I shared the list with him so he had it. So that way, when he was ready, all he had to do was buy one of the rings we already liked together from the list and I wouldn’t even know! This one was our favorite so I’m so thankful he picked it!

Congratulations! I agree with a previous post. Enjoy being engaged and let it all soak in. You will see that once you start planning time will move SO fast and you're just going to be immersed in everything wedding. If you want to start with anything, just start thinking about an overall vision of what you want, but since you're 2023 that could change along the way too. Just enjoy this time.

Congratulations!! How exciting!! I was the same way when I first got engaged. I said I would wait a while before beginning (because who’s in a rush, right??), but found I just couldn’t wait to get started! I found it’s never too early to start collecting ideas (and a Pinterest page, if you don’t already have one!).

Congratulations. Nothing wrong with getting an early start lol. I started planning like over a year and a half out, and I'm so glad that I did, it allowed me to really take my time and not rush decisions. And on a few occasions I got stuck and was able to take a step back and not think anything wedding related to clear my mind. Good luck and happy planning. 🙂
