June 20, 2020 wedding...should i postpone???

Danielle, on March 21, 2020 at 7:07 PM Posted in Planning 1 24
So we already picked out a hesitant, just in case date, if we do have to postpone for September 12, 2020. Luckily, all of our vendors were open for this date too. I just hate not having a plan and everything being up in the air. Has anyone else postponed their June wedding??

We’re scheduled for June 27th and haven’t rescheduled yet. I’m holding out till mid April to make a decision. I figured by then we’ll really have a better idea of where this is going. Our venue is booked for the fall so I think we’d have to wait a full year! Nooooooo😢

We're getting married 6/20/2020 too and haven't postponed yet. I'm going to wait until mid-April to make that decision. I honestly feel like we will end up having to postpone but I'm staying positive and waiting for more concrete info on where the virus is at in a few weeks to make a choice.

June 13th, and quite honestly FREAKING OUT. I can’t stop looking online for answers and I’m obviously finding nothing. Seems like people on here are optimistic about June, but I can’t help but worry about the unknown. Our venue only has 2 back up date options for this summer and I have already been engaged for a year and a half. Postponing another year would honestly drive me a bit insane. My fiancé and I are both all about getting married with everyone there, not the intimate kind of wedding. I don’t want to postpone now because I feel like it could be jumping the gun. So, until we have a better idea I’ll be in here daily looking at all my other June brides for answers! So, JUNE BRIDES🙋🏻‍♀️ Please keep coming on and posting your updates!! We all need help from each other!!! 🙏🏼

I’m located in Wisconsin. All the gyms and everything are being shut down. Even the bars are closed, we’re convinced Hell has froze over. Which makes me even more worried for June.

Thanks! I’m trying to stay positive. I don’t even have the distraction of being at work since I’m stuck at home.

We MOVED our wedding from April 18th to June 20th. Back when we called it, June seemed so far away. For now we are going to remain positive.

Hi Danielle! It's definitely a crazy time of stress and uncertainty for everyone! Right now it sounds like most couples are waiting a few more weeks before making any final decisions about their June Weddings, but it's great that you've already worked out a plan B to give yourself peace of mind!

Our wedding was scheduled for june 26th, and we have pushed it back just to be safe. We are not using a wedding venue so we didn't lose any deposits by switching.

I’m trying to get in touch with my venue. No one is responding. June 27th is our date. So frustrating, just wanted to ask them what my alternative dates are, just in case.

Current date is also June 20. We are getting married in PA. We are holding onto our invites for now and waiting it out. I feel like I don't want to wait any longer than first or second week of April to make my decision. So frustrating not knowing what is going to happen.

Our date is June 13th in MN. We made the decision to switch our plans earlier today after the governor shared projections for when they think the disease is going to peak here with the current social distancing/safe at home measures and it's right around mid-June. I've been agonizing over what to do for a couple days because we've already postponed once (surprise baby!) and there's been a lot of uncertainty over potential timelines for when things will go back to relatively normal operations.

We do still plan on keeping our date, but we'll be limiting things to just our immediate family+photographer (15 people). Our venue mentioned they're working with some couples on setting up live streaming, so I think we'll look into that. So many of our guests are over 50 and/or traveling, so even if we cut our list significantly and asked people in higher risk groups to stay home, I don't trust my extended family to follow through on that :/ It's easier to just "cancel" and share information on how to watch online.

We were June 20 but we decided to postpone, our new date is August 29. Even if social distancing is lifted by then our thought process is we're not sure people will be ready to attend large gatherings yet and to ensure the safety of our family and friends we just pushed the date back. We also figured if people received a wedding invite right now (we planned to send them this first week of April) they would say no. Are you staying with June 13?

My wedding date June 20 I’m in California and I want to push my wedding date just because unfortunately I’m not able to do much with everything going on and the hall is not allowing me to change date unless I pay half of the total balance. I want to cry this is meant to be a beautiful planing time and day and I’m just over it.
