June 1st is National Nail Polish Day!!

Victorian Bride, on May 31, 2020 at 11:37 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 1 21
Hi everyone!

I thought we could celebrate National Nail Polish Day by showing your wedding day look or just your favorite color and brand. My favorite brand is Zoya!! 400 10-Free shades. What's not to love? OH! 50% off today, too, with code POLISH. Since I've been using this brand ( gained this info from a post here on WeddingWire), my nails are so long and healthy they look fake. I am still doing 'safer at home' and Sadie, my Boxer, isn't good with my camera or I'd show you my nails. 🐶❤ These are two looks I'm considering for my wedding day. My natural nails look most like the glitter/ombre length. Can't wait to see what you share!!

Hi!!! Well, I have to have something to do while we must be at home. Ha! Ha! 😂 I definitely enjoyed that sale today. Thank you for your comment. It's nice to be back. I hope to touch base with you this week. xoxo

Except for special occasions I have never managed more than waxing and buffing nails. But 2 of my girls want me to print out the first picture, pearly pink top and the tips dipped in stars! ( my daughter says.) It is a look I love for them, old fashioned sweetness and innocence. So we will print it for their scrapbook. Sadie looks great. Boxers are great, loyal and loving.

I’m terrible at painting my nails, so I usually will go without polish or get them done. Since quarantine, however, I started trying out different press on manicure sets, and I’m actually loving them. Press on nails have come so far!

Usually I get impress but this brand is called kiss. They’re at Target & CVS!
I won’t be going this dark for the wedding but I love wearing dark polish!

I went super simple, top is wedding, bottom is engagement. Sometimes I do dark colors for fun but I didn’t want my nails to be the center of attention.

I'm glad you all liked the tips ' dipped in stars!' I think it is very pretty and sweet! I've become my own personal nail expert since the Corona Virus. Ha! Ha!

Have to agree with you on Boxers. Sadie was an abused rescue from a puppy mill. I think this is the first time she is a pet and not just a puppy machine. Thank you for your comments. Here are a few pics of my Sadie. Maybe your girls will enjoy them. xoxo

Mrs S, both are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing. I'm in a quandary. My engagement ring is a rare, deep aquamarine in white gold and my wedding band will be in rose gold with an emerald. They aren't made to be worn together. I need something neutral to look nice with both, although my band will be in more photos.

My sister in law inherited quite a few cocktail rings and engagement rings, from several great aunts and grandmother, who passed them on to SIL at her engagement. Mom has gnarled fingers now, wanted to see daughter wear them She and bro not particularly in love with her original yellow gold, and most of these rings 1920's through 1990 platinim, white gold, sterling silver, or rose gold. They got this from Vista something , jeweler. But the store had several 2 toned with scrollwork, wavy lines of each rose and white gold, and some thinner 2 toned which were just a braided strand ( which I liked best, but no picture.) Mixed metals can be very nice. She has many semi precious stones and plain metals also in earrings. So she really is happy now to wear a rose gold earrings and ring today, a silver colored metal tomorrow for all jewelry, and keep the 2 color band with either. Some of the older rings have small dollar value, but have lovely filagree work, unusual carved lavender jade, mother of pearl. Many Victorian era.

Judith, the ring pictured is beautiful!! I, too, love Victorian era jewelry. My wedding band will actually be a Claddagh ring in rose gold, my favorite, with diamonds and a heart shaped emerald. Most of my jewelry is rose gold or white gold. I'm least partial to yellow gold and I have no idea why. Sure enjoyed your note!!
