July honeymoon

Kendall, on March 25, 2020 at 10:53 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4
Hi ladies. Like many of you I am just playing the wait and see game on my July 25th wedding (UGH). However we also planned to leave the following day for our honeymoon to Bali. Has anyone cancelled their honeymoon at this stage in the game? I’m worried that their will still be bans on international travel

We leaving for Bali around the same time a few days after our July 18 wedding. We are waiting to see what the situation is closer to the date. Thankfully, we bought everything, including our travel insurance LONG before this outbreak so I'm relatively confident in my ability to argue with our insurance to cover any fees if we end up having to cancel or change the date because of travel bans relating to the pandemic.

But I'm also still hopeful that we will have a better handle on things by then and probably still be able to carry on with our plans.

We are going ahead with planning for the wedding, but decided to eliminate the stress of worrying about the honeymoon. We have decided to postpone our honeymoon, and instead take that trip for our one year anniversary.

Our is July4th and leaving for Honeymoon July5th. Currently we haven't canceled anything, hoping we wont have to. Would you have time to change the honeymoon plans if you wait until may/june to see how things are?

I was initially planning to go to southeast asia on a vacation during that time too but decided not to book my tickets yet. i think it's best to wait to see how the virus pans out in the next couple months. things by then might be back to normal or might slowly get back to normal but it's ok to wait before making any definitive plans.
