July 2022 brides!!

So excited for July, 6 months to go!! We've got all of our vendors booked, dress shopping completed, Change The Dates sent (from postponing from our original date in 2020), hair and makeup trial scheduled, and are just waiting until time gets closer! We're ordering our invitations next month. How about you? Where are you at in your planning?

So my cousin and I are having a double wedding to help decrease our anxieties of being in front of people. We have already booked our Venues (Church and reception) we have our catering and our DJ and we also have our cakes picked and ready. Now to get the decor down. Most of ours is going to be a DIY wedding to save on cost I wanted to spend more on my honeymoon than my wedding. So I also am a cricut user so I will be making our invitations and mailing them out myself and also my cousin and I are crafty so both of us will be planning the decorations.

Hi everyone! Getting married in the mountains at the end of July! Cannot wait!! We have most vendors booked but I am having trouble figuring out which hair and makeup to choose. Have pretty much everything else booked, ordering invites this month, and have some other decor to figure out but we’re almost there!! Anyone have any ideas for cool guest book alternatives? I know I will never look through any book (even a cute photo book) of guest signatures, and I don’t want to do jenga blocks because I’ve seen it done too much.

You could always have people sign a sports jersey or ball if you're both into sports, or something like this, where everyone signs a heart, and you display it in your home:

View Quoted Comment Yay July 29th!! Probably home decor. I’m the least sporty person imaginable but I love the outdoors so I had thought of this. But I’m not sold on it yet. We also love travel so part of me thinks a map where everyone puts their bucket list travel destination or maybe an actual bucket with paper for people to write “bucket list” ideas. And haha, I hear you on the part about wedding planning bringing out the indecisiveness! There are So. Many. Options. for everything, it's so tough to choose sometimes. Whatever you pick for your guest book will turn out awesome! Here are a few more outdoorsy and/or travel themed guest book ideas I found on Pinterest:


You could have your guests fill out postcards from their favorite place, and/or sign (or decorate) the mailbox, which you can then install the mailbox at your home.


Or have them sign a globe!


Or like you mentioned, ask guests to put a note on/near a place they want to visit on a map. Or, if you have a lot of guests coming in from all over the country, you could have a map of the country, and ask people to sign in the state that they traveled from.


Or instead of postcards, you could do luggage tags for people to write their messages on?


The tree stump idea seems to be popular lately, this could be something to display in your home?


You could either do all natural wood coloring for the leaves, or even all green, since it'll be the middle of summer.

Or a wood board with your names and your favorite outdoors scene on it (mountains, or a lake, or a forest, etc).

View Quoted Comment Absolutely love all the ideas above! So creative. My fiancé and I wanted to do something different aswell because we honestly wouldn’t through a book either! We are doing a phone guest book. Guests will leave us voicemails all night long and we will get the recordings back within a few weeks. We love this idea becsuse we can listed back on our grandparents/ loved ones voices and we just thought it would be super unique! I attached a few pics below☺️
