Meeeee!!! We actually just came back from ours in New Orleans...go check out my post! 😊

Pros: It's fun as everrrrrrr, everyone gets to meet and learn about each other before the wedding (gets the jitters out), it's fun as everrrrrr and it's fun as ever lol. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better time. The bigger the group the better, it'll keep the cost down if everyone is sharing the cost. Everyone split the cost of the Airbnb that we stayed in. We ate out of course but we made 3 meals at the house and everyone also put up for that. It was a beautiful experience lol. Music blasting throughout the house, everyone dancing around, playing games, cooking just FUN FUN FUN!!! All of our friends in one place, celebrating us and having a ball...it was epic!

Cons: Everyone may not be able to make it all at once (2 of the groomsmen couldn't) and also keeping in mind that some may have spouses who may not love that idea. We got really lucky with our group. I really dont think there were any real cons. I totally say do it!!!

I’ve been to one! The groom could really care less about strip clubs and that kind of stuff. And we (bridesmaids) knew most of the groomsmen. We got a house in the Poconos for a long weekend, played paintball one day and relaxed another. We separated on Saturday night to have separate dinners and go out to a casino, but we each missed hanging with the whole group so we met up right away and went back to the house lol. It can be a great time!

We did separate ones but I see the appeal of a joint one. Sounds like it could be fun If theres a small group of shared friends.

Are you considering having one? Is there something in particular that's holding you back?

My FH and I have thrown around the idea since neither of us are really into parties but we are every weekend boaters. Were thinking about renting a mansion on the water, hiring a boat captain and having a weekend at the lake with everyone. Honestly I've had a few friends (not in the wedding party) say I'd regret not having them separate. So I'm just wanting to know if anyone else felt that way or not.

I understand. When people throw out comments like this, it does make you doubt your decisions. However, you know yourself best and what you want, so trust that!

Even if you have the parties together, you could separate out some activities and come together for others!
