Jamaica vs México for honey moon

The Caribbean side of Mexico has calmer beaches so I’d recommend Riviera Maya for Mexico. I’m going to the Barcelo Maya Riviera Adults Only hotel in late June / early July for another wedding. I’ve been to the Barcelo Maya palace before and was really impressed and the Riviera is their new hotel. They have really nice beaches - clear water no seaweed. Lots of food options at 10+ restaurants. I haven’t been to Jamaica but have looked into Jamaica and Dominican Republic in the past and the Excellence resorts look to be good quality (food, beaches, rooms, value). I love researching hotels / resorts so have spent a lot of time looking. Good luck!!

I second the recommendation for Excellence. I've never been to Sandals, but between Excellence and Secrets, Excellence is way better. I've also never been to Jamaica, but Excellence Playa Mujeres has a great beach.

I enjoyed cancun. My parents did sandles in montego bay.

I vacation in Jamaica a few times a year. Been all over the Caribbean and Negril has one of the most beautiful beaches. I just got back from Riviera Maya Mexico beaches are nice there a bit more rough.
It also depends on time of year/rainy season, Price point, & lifestyle activities.
