is the wedding and reception 2 separate events on Rsvp?

Question about online RSVPS- so I am using Zola and have options for several different events that are auto-suggested in their online RSVP. Is the wedding separate from the reception for online RSVP purposes? Are you all doing separate RSVPs for ceremony vs reception? Everyone will be invited to both.

We are having both at the same place (YMCA compound). The wedding will be at the chapel and the reception at the main hall. Do I need to get 2 separate RSVPs on the website? Most everyone will be coming from out of town so I don’t see many ppl leaving before the reception starts, it’s a 1.5 hour minimum drive for those who live in-state.

Unless your ceremony space has a smaller capacity than the reception space, I'd skip the RSVP for that. The RSVP is more important for the reception since you will need a headcount for your caterer, determine what meal each guest wants if applicable, and assign seating.

No. The wedding and reception is one RSVP. If someone can’t make one but can make the other, they will usually call you and let you know.

The ceremony and reception are one event with one reply card, one registry, etc.

For online replies, there is no separation except someone replying for a rehearsal dinner or welcome event the day before or a brunch the day after.

I personally separated it! and i am glad i did because i had 250 for reception and like 140 or so for ceremony. i had to actually rent chairs for my ceremony so i didn't want to just rent the entire guest list but also because people in my culture i've noticed, don't typically go to ceremony
