I've heard no - because the skin is VERY sensitive... but a while back I posted a thread regarding waxing and was informed otherwise from brides on here. You should be okay... good question to ask your waxing person :o)

Yeah Kimi, I saw your thread but didn't see too many ppl weigh in on that specific issue. Maybe I'll do it a few days prior to be safe.

There is no problem with it. I've been getting waxed down there for years and never had a problem with sex the same day. The person who does it for me has never said anything about it.

"sometimes with sugaring gel, it takes several applications to remove all of the hair from an area. the reason for the wax (which tends to be stickier) in the brazilian is simply to ensure your comfort & reduce the amount of applications needed to remove the hair, especially in this delicate region. if you would prefer the sugaring gel over the wax, please ask your specialist at the beginning of the treatment."

"medical experts recommend waiting for 24- 48 hours after any type of bikini wax. this time period is when your body can be most susceptible to outside bacteria, which can potentially cause an infection. for your safety and health, it is better to abstain, but not required. it is really a personal choice, so just keep in mind that your skin does need some time to recover."

From personal experience - it's no problem at all. Go on and enjoy, while it's still smooth as a baby's bottom.

I had the wax and it hurt like hell for real!!! But only during the process. Once she finished I was fine. I didn't take tylenol or anything. I had sex the next day and was fine. So, I'm hoping next month the waxing will be better! I felt violated she was pulling that paper hard! Wish I could've been knocked out during the process! I kept saying ok it's good, it's enough! she was like no I'm not finished one more, one more. Whew!!!! The things we do! SMH.

I had gone today for my very first Brazilian wax. Honestly not bad. Of course it's going to sting as the hair is literally being ripped off your private, however that sting only lasted a few seconds. I had the best girl! If you are in Vegas go to Pretty Kitty in Henderson. Ask for Jessica!! She made me feel comfortable, talked with me the whole time (it helped get my mind off the pain), and she was just so nice! I made my follow up appointment right before I left. I shall shave no more down there! Only wax. Best thing I ever did. It only took 15-20 minutes.

Also it is highly recommended to not have sex within the first 24 hours due to ingrown hairs and being susceptible to bacteria down there right after. However it is your own choice.

I was told by my waxer no sex or standing water to avoid infection because that particular area is sensitive for awhile . I'd wait a day because the last time I used someone else before I used a different person they never informed me about no sex or standing water or avoid tanning because you're suppose to keep that area dry. Well I wasn't informed and did my normal routine and my crotch broke out and was very uncomfortable . I recommend asking the person who you plan on using that's doing the Brazilian .

I am Brazilian hence I am a believer of Brazilian wax lol - I never had issues with the Brazilian wax as long as you get a professional that knows what they are doing. Some wax (not the sugar one, but more synthetic and full of scent and sort of things) make you break out BAD - so stick to the classic and have fun~

It's not a problem I've been having it done for years and never had any issues. As you keep it up, the discomfort becomes less and less.

It depends on the person, not the process. If you have time, try getting one a month or so before your wedding so that you can see how your feel. My friend runs a spa and she does sugaring and has told me that everyone reacts differently to different processes.

I use to get waxed and now I've been getting sugared for the last 2 years. I have SENSITIVE skin, so even though I've been getting full Brazilians for 6+ years, sex is a big no-no for me the day of. I prefer sugaring, it leaves my skin less sensitive, but sex still wouldn't be fun for me the day of. Like, I could do it, but it would hurt a bit. So, why bother?

And you want to avoid touching the skin for a day to help prevent any breakouts.

Also, for me, sugaring lasts a really long time. I feel like it basically looks like a fresh sugaring for at least week. So I suggest going the day before if you can.
