Is an outdoor wedding in Oct too cold???

So our wedding venue is all outdoors. The kitchenette, wedding party quarters and restrooms are inside but the reception space and ceremony is all outdoors. The reception has a gazebo type shelter overhead and we can rent space heaters too. I live in NC and the usual weather for the beginning of October varies but I don't remember it ever being chilly. Our venue is near the Concord area in NC. High is average 70 (Fahrenheit) and low is 50 (Fahrenheit) in October. Do ya'll think I'm risking it?!?!

I got married in October about 1.5 hours north of Concord. On the day of our rehearsal dinner it was 98 degrees, and the following day for our wedding it was 61(ish). Our entire wedding was outdoors and we had no complaints of it being too cold. Being that our weather is so temperamental, I would just suggest having a few heaters available during your reception.

Hello from a former NC October bride!! My wedding was all indoors - partially because we were worried it would be too hot in NC in October (and we're both sweaty people 😉). It was plenty warm enough for the whole wedding to be outside, but we were surprised by Hurricane Matthew and torrential downpours... so I'd make sure you have a back-up plan for rain!!

Thinking about waiting about two weeks out to reserve the heaters and tent! I will also have a hot cider bar, I hope it'll be enough.
