Invites

Julia, on November 25, 2019 at 2:07 PM Posted in Arkansas Planning 0 5
I am having a problem with my wedding invites, my fiancé’s parents are divorced and his mom remarried and now has a different last name and I am trying to figure out what to write on the invite since his parents are no longer together.

You could just say, our families instead of having actual names.

Together with our families, you are invited tot he wedding of...

Something along those lines. Or you could not have anything which is what we did.

I love the "together with their families" language

I feel like a lot of this is a question of 'are they contributing to the wedding?' if the answer is no, none of them really need to be on there as you and your intended are the hosts. If the answer is yes, they should be included. Unless space on the invite is an issue, adding another last name in this day and age doesnt seem terribly awkward.

    Hey Julia!

If you wish to acknowledge your parents on your invitations, you can absolutely write ‘together with their families’. It’s an easy was to avoid any confusion about how names should be written and encapsulates all of your family members that may have a part to play in your wedding.

When are you planning on sending your invitations out to your guests?
