Invitations

I know I live in a different state than my family and I sent a card to my sister-in-law on a Monday and she got it by Thursday. My grandmother who lives in the same town also sent her card on Monday and my sister-in-law didn't get it until over a week later. The mail is a very strange thing.

There's all kinds of weird stuff happening with the post office right now. Covid yes, but also politically motivated. News says mail sorting machines are bring removed and carrier hours are being limited. This may be part of the cause.

Agree with PP. There is some weird things going on right now with the postal service. Which is really too bad considering a lot of people are ordering more things online via Amazon and such. So the postal service is very much needed right now.

I agree with PPs, the postal system has a lot going on right now. Even in regular times they can run behind, so I wouldn’t worry quite yet.

Ohio restructured our postal process. All mail sent in NE Ohio routes to Cleveland before it goes back out to the suburbs. I think similar things are happening in the other quadrants of the state - which means mail for delivery to OH addresses circulates within the state a bit before delivery while the stuff going out of state leaves in the 1st cycle. Weird, I know,
