Hi!! Looking for recommendations/suggestions I am having an intimate wedding in Tuscany, italy in June 2024 and I’m stuck on the music/dancing piece. 16 guests total so should there be dancing following dinner? Is it worth it to hire music/dj? Or should I make my own playlist and bring a speaker? Any recommendations for approaching the first dance/ father daughter/mother son dance would be greatly appreciated!

I would think just a violinist or guitar player would be nice. This could allow for a bit of close dancing. I think a typical DJ would be for motivating a larger crowd, not 18 people.

I agree with Michael. The situation really doesn't call for a DJ. I would hire a musician or just use a speaker. Wedding in Italy sounds amazing!

I think a playlist would be fine for a wedding this small. I once went to a wedding with about 30 people and a few did dance.
