Indian Wedding Decorations, how much to budget?

Hi Everyone!

I am looking for suggestions on how much I should budget for in regard to wedding decorations (mandap and reception). I'm getting some quotes that to me sound a bit too pricey so wanted to get a better idea of what people typically pay and budget for. I'm based in NJ so answers pertinent to NJ would be really helpful!

    While I can't speak for NJ, Indian wedding decor is beyond pricey. Especially if you are looking for vendors who work often with Indian weddings, I feel like they tend to upcharge.

    I have found someone in Tampa where I'm getting married who is providing decor/flowers for my wedding and reception for about 6,000. We are doing a simple mandap with flowers and then reception centerpieces, uplighting etc.

    Hi there, keep your options open. Look at the reviews of the people as well. Have you read the budget savvy book? You definitely need to buy it, it helps me tremendously with my vision and budget. I'm getting Married Oct 2020 in Florida, after weeks of looking I found one that fits my budget.
