Independent Makeup/hair Artist vs Company

Hi! I was wondering how you made your decision about choosing your makeup and hair artists.


I reached out to independent artists who do both hair and makeup. I love them but they definitely are more expensive. The pro is that I would be able to talk to them directly with questions and concerns about my look.
The companies that I looked at have about 8-20 artists (even 50) that work for them. Their portfolios look amazing but my fear is that some artists who might be chosen for doing my makeup/hair will leave the company before my day. That brings me back to scratch and possibly paying for another bridal trial.
I'm getting married May 2025. I am not doing a hair/makeup trial until 3 months before. I'm just not sure if I should go with an independent artist or a larger company with many artists.
