i picked up my dress today!

How is everyone storing their dress? Hanging up? Laying down? I’m worried about the pressure on the straps, although I’m sure it’s been hanging for weeks and it’s been fine. Here’s a picture of my dress (on the store model) because I love it!

We have a spare bedroom, so I took it out of the plastic bag and have it lying across the bed. The door stays shut so the cats can't get to it haha.

Right now I have it hanging at a friend's house because my fiancee and I live together. Pretty soon though it'll be at the dress shop for alterations, then probably at my sister-in-law's since i'll probably get ready there

Your dress is so beautiful! I'm storing my dress by hanging it up. Mine has sleeves too, but I haven't had a problem Smiley smile

I let mine hanging for a couple months on our closet door before it went to alterations. It was fine! Hubs was a good sport too and didn't peek!

Your dress is gorgeous! It will be fine hanging up but I would store it in a bag.

All of the wedding stuff is in a spare room w/ the door close so that my cats can’t get into it. The second that they hear the door open their car like instincts spring into action & they try to get in.

Daughter's dress shop just cautioned her to ALWAYS use the ribbon loops sewn under the arms of the dress and the loop under the train in addition to the dress straps (which were mostly decorative and not particularly "sturdy") to hang her dress. Her dress came in a breathable white fabric bag. It hung in our guest room for about a year and it was perfectly fine.

PS -- beautiful dress! Smiley heart
