The article on this site titled "The 12 Best Wedding Registry Websites Ever" claims that "WeddingWire Registry lets you add and manage traditional retail registries...while also allowing you to add experiences...and cash gifts." However none of the retailers they have as options to add are cash gift registries (they do have one for "experiences"). Anyone know how to add this? The article is from 2021 so they might have changed their options but I can't find anything in the Support section.
We really, really don't want any physical gifts (unless they have sentimental value) - we're grownups and have way more stuff than we need already. We're providing links for charities people can donate to in lieu of gifts, but some people want to give directly to the couple.
We're also trying to avoid physical cash/checks etc. on the day of (we had an engagement party where we said "no gifts" so of course everyone gave us checks with misspelled names that we couldn't cash, impossible to decipher signatures so we didn't know who to send thank you notes to, etc. - it was a nightmare). And of course for anyone under the age of 60 it's generally easier to click a link to send money rather than figuring out how to write a check or how an ATM works to give cash.
We're struggling a lot with getting a wedding website set up here because of the lack of support so looking to see if anyone has answers before we go with a different site.
