How to choose a photographer?

Kelly, on March 27, 2021 at 1:55 PM Posted in Massachusetts Planning 0 3

I have 3 photographers I’m looking at and I’m so stuck. I’m trying to stay on budget so I’m tempted to go with C but unsure.

So the breakdown:
A. $2250 (I’m supposed to sign a contract and put a deposit down by the 28th so I’m kind of panicking because I’m having second thoughts) - 6 hours - 1 shooter - engagement session- unlimited photos delivered (she says if they’re good we will get them) - online gallery for a year - wedding wire/the knot awards- lots of great reviews- very professional and I liked her!- has shot our location before
B. $2300- 6 hours - 1 shooter - engagement session - 150+ photos delivered - online gallery for a year - not a lot of wedding photos mostly engagement/family shoots. Cant find many reviews. - our personalities totally meshed, very casual
C. $1975 after WW discount - 6.5 hours - 2 shooters - engagement session - online gallery for a year - images on a USB - lots of great reviews - haven’t met them yet, chatting tomorrow
I love all their styles! my FH says it’s up to me and knows even less than I do about it.
If a photographer doesn’t say how many they delivery how many can I expect usually? I’m so confused because people just tell me how many they TAKE, I wanted to know how many I get i get to see ha.

Hi Kelly! How did your talk with photographer #3 go??

If you mesh well with them then that's who I'd pick! You seem to really like their style and they'll send two shooters which is a big bonus!

My second pick would be photographer #1! They seem to have more wedding experience than #2.

I ended up choosing #1, a few factors made me choose this: shes shot the venue before and loved it, the amount of glowing reviews, and I see more low-light photos (and our reception area is dark!). It was a really tough choice!!
