How to ask venue for add similar add ons post contract

I wrote in a Facebook page asking about brides getting married at our venue their feedback on the menu. One bride said that they’re having a bunch of dessert options added at no extra charge! I didn’t have any of these mentioned in our contract. Do you have any suggestions on how to ask the venue about this when we meet with them next week? Our wedding is almost a month away if that makes a difference.


We only get a cake and this couple has 2 extra cocktail stations, extra carving station, sundae bar, pastries, zepoles, and coffees.

    Are you sure all of that is included at no extra charge? That is quite a lot to get.

    I would just say "I know a few couples that are receiving these things, complimentary. Would we be able to add these on?" The worst that could happen is they say no. But definitely double check with the other couple to find out what they get and if it's in their contract and when they signed. They may have signed under different management or something.

    Does your venue have minimums? If so, this couple may have added these items on for no “extra charge” because they needed to hit their minimum and didn’t have enough guests to do so. They would’ve been spending that amount anyways.

    This couple may also be getting married on a different day of the week. A lot of venues mentioned this during our tours that mid-day weeks have additional add-ons at no cost as an incentive to book those normally slow days

    Does your venue have different package levels? A few of the ones we toured had different tiers of packages some that had these extras included but they were included in the more expensive packages and not the basic ones...
