How long were you together before getting engaged?

Together 8 years before he asked!

2 years to the day

15 months, which is in the range of when I thought he'd ask (12-18 months).

Four years almost on the dot (soooomeoooone for food poisoning on our anniversary when I was going to do it so it for pushed back a bit)

5 years! Our wedding is also 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day after our engagement

*someone got food poisoning, whoops

A year and a half

Almost a year a half of dating, but he would have proposed after 3 months, honestly. We bought our house together a year after dating, and from that point it was marriage talk all of the time until he proposed a few months later!

5 long years!

10 years! We debated waiting until our 12th year together (2020) to do the wedding, but I wanted to just do it now!!

First date was 4/8/16 engaged on 12/2/17

Just under 4 years.

We were together for 2 years before we got engaged.

We dated for 2.3 years before we got engaged. We will have been together for 4.5 years before we get married!

A little over a year, but we started discussing marriage after 4 or 5 months.

3.5 years. He said he knew at a year I was it.

6 1/2 years! He promised he would do it in 2018, and waited until 2 minutes before the ball drop.... what a stinker

About 10 months! Not long, I know, but we knew right off the bat that we were gonna marry each other when we first met. And as a 29 and 33 year old couple, we were more or less done with casual dating. His sister said we were rushing things since her and her husband dated for 6 years before getting marries, but I'd rather not get married at 35 and then begin thinking about kids.lol.

Almost exactly a year! He proposed a couple weeks before our first anniversary because he did it on his birthday instead. 😄
