How long to Honeymoon in Aruba!

Ashley, on March 25, 2017 at 11:19 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9

We booked our honeymoon in Aruba for 1.5 weeks and now everyone is telling us we will be bored after a week! Has anyone been before and what are your thoughts on how long to stay?

Why are they saying this? You'll only be as bored as you allow yourself to get.

If you can't make 10 days with DH on beautiful beaches interesting enough, I can't imagine how you don't die of boredom with stuff like living together...

I have heard that because others have told me Aruba is boring, and there isn't much to do. Not sure how true that is, but go on TripAdvisor to check out the top 10 excursions and attractions. Everyone has different preferences. I'm a "lay on the beach all day and start drinking at 10am" type of vacationer, so Aruba would work for me (not for the honeymoon though).

We're doing Aruba for our hm and I can't be more excited. It's my dream vacation. The beaches are amazing and there's lots of exploring to do! You can rent a Jeep and drive all over the island and find some really cool stuff. Plus I'm 100% cool with sitting on the beach for most of the day.

All tropical island vacations are similar. You lounge, eat, drink, and play water sports. Unless you choose a small island country with a different culture there isnt much to see. It just depends what you like to do. But I agree that 10 days is too long. I would probably cut it down to a week. If anything, go to another island for 3 more days to see what that culture is like.

Been there. We stayed for 10 days. While we loved it, I think 10 was ALMOST too long.

ETA: we did a snorkel excursion, sunset booze cruise and an open air jeep island excursion to all the big sites and natural pool (a MUST see)

I'd visit some local eateries and bars if I were to go back and also go into town more. We went once and had a good time. Always felt safe. I'd also visit some other beaches (although our resorts beach was by far the nicest beach I've ever seen) we stayed at the Divi all inclusive

How do you & FH travel/vacation now? My initial thought is to go for as long as you can : )

However, I do know a few folks that hate traveling for more than 3 days in general...

We recently stayed at the Barcelo all Inclusive. We did the range rover tour, a sunset cruise, snorkle and snuba. Anything more than a week could get boring, just make the most of it. Check out as many excursions as you can afford. We loved the warm water and spending our time in it. If you've never tried snuba, give it a shot.

I went to Aruba 3 years ago with FH and his family! One of the best vacations I ever had. I do not think you will be bored, I know after planning a wedding and having ours we will want at least the first 2 days to completely do nothing but drink and sit on a beach!

We did some excursions when we went to Aruba and I will highly highly recommend the Jolly Pirates! It is a 3-4 hour excursion and they take you out on a ship to snorkle and swim at 3 different locations. There is also an open bar and the guys that run it are amazing! We also did an ATV tour which was really cool to see more parts of the island.

Over 10 days I would probably plan for at least 3 excursions. But in my mind to me honeymoon means down time and relaxationSmiley smile Have fun date twin!
