How is your planning going?

Oh no! Can you make it clear to those people that they're not allowed additional guests?

We had some save the dates come back because apparently some addresses were wrong, so now I'm scrambling to find addresses again.

View Quoted Comment I agree, we both are like uhm 😶 we have nothing against the ones we did not invite. We just made it small and private. The moms and aunts. Went out and spread the word and now more family wants to come. We told them it’s a small gathering. He and I both don’t want anything extra and overly extended with people. Now they have left us alone but some are still texting can I bring someone. It’s like you don’t want to be a Bi$ch but you know people are just happy for you.

My saying is no bling (engaged or married) no bring! Lol you got to put your foot down in all honesty. Feeding an extra few people is a lot of money. I’m only planning for 40 people at mine!

Yikes! I'm so sorry. I think we are going to try to limit the plus ones to known couples. Everyone else will only be allowed to bring themselves and we are only having 75 guests.
And right now, it is going okay. We are getting beat upside the head with these catering prices though. So there is that. It is slightly overwhelming for sure.

My poor fiancée had no clue some of these real life costs. And because I’m such a Type A personality, I needed to know everything and plan ahead. He is more of the go with the flow method and has been slightly overwhelmed by it all. So he let me spearhead everything lol

Three weeks out and I'm feeling good now. Just waiting on 2 RSVP's (due date was today ), we picked out our passed appetizers, talked to our DJ (he is gonna be SOOOOO fun), picked the background for our Photo Booth strips, had our final consult with the officiant, photography team, florist and made our seating chart (fairly easy!) Only have to finalize our dessert selections with the bakery. We are doing a post-wedding cocktail party in Disney for my Disney group, so FH and I picked out all those appetizers as well.

I have finally come to the conclusion that I have to let go of trying to control every little thing - and I am much less stressed because of that. It's a daily struggle, but I am determined to be happy and excited rather than upset and stressed.
