How far in advance did you book your Honeymoon???

We booked our honeymoon last month, so about 6 months out.

We booked right after Christmas for early June...though it was on our to-do list for months!

I have heard that cruises tend to be cheaper the farther out you book though, so you could get better deals if you book sooner than later!

I think it depends. We are going to Bora Bora and booked the hotel almost a year about because the price was the best we had ever seen. We bought our flights in February.

Five months for us - but our engagement is only six months long. I've seen the man book travel and I just wanted to have it taken care of.

We're going to Australia so it'll be winter there, but we're leaving the night after the wedding (and taking advantage of the July 4 holiday) so our dates weren't very flexible.

Lol it kind of depends on what we end up doing. I though we were going to do an affordable, but still fun, road trip to the CA central coast. If we do that, I'm not really worried about when hotels are booked. But FH keeps mentioning going to the US Virgin Islands. We *could* do it, I just thought we were in house down payment saving mode.

Anyway, if we end up doing that, I'd like to get it booked soonish, but we'd probably use a Groupon for our hotel and a lot of those can only be booked a few months out. I'd still want to book flights soon, though.

Flights usually don't start posting to book until 6-9 months out! I finally have been able to book & my wedding in November!

We are booking ours next month, so it'll be about a year out when we do it.

A year, but we are staying at a B&B in Key West that I have stayed at for 15 years. The rooms book quickly, so to ensure we get the one we want, we had to book early.

Hoping to book ours this week! So about 5 weeks out. It definitely wasn't a huge priority for me so I pawned it of on FH and as expected he's procrastinating on it I'm not worried about it though. Wherever we end up it will be amazing because we are going to be MARRIED

We were waiting to book around 6 months out, but we found a really good deal for Sandals Resorts so we booked about a year out. Now that the wedding is getting closer, I am glad that we did it a little earlier so that we had more time for saving.

Booked this month for an August honeymoon!

Maybe 3 weeks out? 4? We did a cruise.

We have an 11 month engagement and booked our cruise 10 months out. be aware that you may not be able to book flights or hotels further than 8-9 months out, depending on where you are going, and same goes for booking with the travel discount sites (trip advisor, booking.com, etc.)

As far in advance as you can. We're getting married April 2017, booked our honeymoon last month because bookings can go that far in advance and we wanted a specific room.

We booked our hotel I think around 10 or 11 months out because it is small and routinely books up well in advance. Flights I think we booked closer to something like 6 months out after we watched the price fluctuations for a while. I think if you know for sure where you're going and the dates are set (and a good cancellation policy wouldn't hurt) I don't see any problems booking as early as possible.

We booked ours about 8 months out because we found cheap tickets to Miami (we're going to Key West). We also booked our hotel at the same time.

I'd say around 6-8 months! We just booked ours last week. We are getting married next weekend but not going on our honeymoon until September

We booked ours last month, so 9 months! Our flights still aren't booked because jet blue hasn't opened up November dates yet.

We actually just got ours finalized like a three weeks ago, leaving in May. So only like 3 months prior. I'd recommend starting earlier than that though lol, it was a little stressful!

I think we booked the cruise part about 11 months out. We then booked flight maybe 8 months out. Hotels were probably 4- 5 months out. It really depends on where you want to go.
