How Do We Seat a Bridal Party That Has Kids

Kid friendly DW: We haven’t really thought about having a sweetheart table or bridal party table yet, but in my mind I’m leaning toward a bridal party table because it’s just more fun for us to have our closest people nearby. Thing is, MOH (sister) will have 3 kids including a toddler and infant. Best man will have an infant as well. Who has bridal party members with little ones? How should we seat the bridal party? This is a DW and I plan on having a kids area with a babysitter but obviously the kids will want their parents here and there.

I think it’s a little uncomfortable sometimes to have a head table because people often like to sit with their crew of friends/family for receptions. Everyone is different though. I would opt for a sweetheart table and have your closest sitting right by at the adjacent tables. But, If not, I would check in with your crew because they have infants and see what they’d be more comfortable with.

We didn't do a DW, but we had bridal party members with families. We opted for a sweetheart table for this reason. This way everyone could sit with their SOs and children. Also, we were literally only at our table for enough time to take a few bites of food and that's it.

I think a sweetheart table is your best option. That way kids can sit with their parents and bridal party can sit with their closest people. You guys will be up dancing and mingling most of the time anyway so I wouldn’t worry too much about needing them close.

Our WP, and their SO, & any invited child, sat together, at any one of the 3 tables nearest us.

I'd probably sit a regular table with your BM/MOH and their families and have the rest of the wedding party at the next table (or two) with their families.

I'd sit your wedding party at tables closest to you and just do a sweetheart table. If anyone has kids or a significant other, they would 100% rather sit with them than at a head table.
