How difficult was it to book a wedding at the Belle Isle Casino?

I got engaged on August 7th and started trying to plan things and finding a great venue is our absolute #1 priority. My fiance and I at the end of August took a tour of the Belle Isle Casino and we absolutely love it. The problem with the Belle Isle Casino is you can't book a wedding for 2021 until March of 2020 according to the guy who gave us the tour(we want June 26,2021). I met with a potential caterer and then heard that there was a wedding event that at the end if you won the raffle, you won the first date which was supposed to be held at the end of March. Recently, I got off the phone with a lady who tells me there's no wedding event that let's gives you a chance to pick the first date in 2021 and they don't start booking until April 1st. I'm afraid that if the first guy I talked to was right that I might lose my date. Anybody else have a struggle with booking their wedding at the Belle Isle Casino more than a year in advance, because I feel like I'm losing my mind, haha.

I can totally understand why you’re worried about losing your wedding date at the venue due to their booking policy for 2021. It’s nerve wracking, especially when you fall in love with a venue.
Personally, I would trust the information provided to me by the venue’s wedding coordinator as he/she would have the authority on this I would imagine.
Was the man you spoke with the venue’s wedding coordinator or someone who worked directly with weddings? How about the lady?

Hi Cliodhna,

To be completely honest, the guy seemed like he hadn't worked his job for too long because he didn't know how to answer half of my questions regarding weddings. The lady was completely short with me when I told her my situation, and I just found out there's already an email line to get a request to have an event at their facility. I learned this through a photographer I want to book for my wedding and she was 32nd in line. I'm honestly feeling completely helpless at this point. If I had known there was a line, I would have put my information for a scheduled email all the way back when we went in August.

Did you end up booking Belle Isle casino? I’m looking into it for a 2022 August wedding and have to wait until next April to book it. Any insight would be helpful!

I ended up booking at another venue; however, I would advicr you to make sure your payment is solid, and send your email right at 8 am. Do not send it any earlier they will be disgarded. Also, I'd advice to be in beyond solid internet connection. If you do get your date, I higgly recommend a day of wedding coordinator.

I ended up booking my wedding at 2 Gather More in Auburn Hills. It's further away from all of our guests; however, I really wanted to have more freedom in our vendors, it has a more modern look (which I honestly preferred), and it is more secluded (although Belle Isle is pretty secluded too).
