How Did You Meet Your Spouse?

You're story is so cute. I love knowing how couples meet. But in Feb 2017, I saw him in church. He walked in and I thought he was so pretty lol. I would call him my church bf. There was a retreat in August and I had a feeling he would go. May I add it was a 5 day retreat. He didn't show up for the 4 days. And no, I didnt go hoping to talk to him, but if he was there a bonus. On the last day of the retreat, I was running late. They were watching a movie so the lights were off, I went in the back and sat there. When I turned to my left, he was there. I tried to act all cool. On a break he turned to talk to me and almost 2 years later here we are engaged. I think our story is cute.

That’s a cute story. My FH used to work with my aunt and we initially started talking through Facebook. He left town to travel to his sisters wedding a couple days after I accepted his friend request and we started talking. He told me he wouldn’t be able to talk or respond to texts for the four days he was gone, but he was texting me the whole time. His family was even giving him a hard time about it at the reception. The day he got back he picked me up during my lunch break at work because he didn’t want to wait another week until he had a night off to go out.

So I was 21 and experiencing life lol I was an exotic dancer and him and his friends came to the SC and I gave him a dance and we talked the rest of the night, dated for two years, we had a daughter, broke up for 6 years, reconnected and been together ever since.

I met my SO on tinder...lol

I was dating my fh's brother when I was in middle school. We met when he came to visit him for spring break. Couple months later the brother and I broke up. My FH and I kept in contact every now and again we would text but it was nothing significant. I got into another relationship that lasted about a year and a half. My fh's cousin was my best friend. I went to all the family events. At one point FH texted me again. This time we coninued messaging for a week straight. We got closer and found out how similar we are. Couple months after that he asked me out. One month after he asked me out he went to basic training and AIT. We had a long distance relationship and didnt see eachother for 6 months. When he came back he had to move 6 hours away and we only saw eachother once a month. All odds were against us but now we have been together for 4 years we have a happy healthy 10 month old son, a beautiful apartment, and we will me married on May 9th.

I always find stories where people meet earlier on and then get together years later so interesting. Congrats on your future marriage!

We met at my friends Quinceañera, he was my partner... we tried dating but I was 16 and my mom didn’t let me date so we ended up going our ways after about 2 months.. we stayed friends on MySpace (lol) but never spoke to each other... 2yrs later I had posted something about a breakup and he commented saying he was going through one too... and that’s how we reconnected lol... went on a date 2 months after continuously txting each other and 11yrs later here we are lol...

What an amazing love story.

We met in high school and dated several times. Nothing stuck. Fast forward from 2011 to 2015 and after being apart several years we remet when I asked him about going dancing with a friend and I . Even though we both brought our own people with us we danced all night with each other and the connection was so strong between us. He has not dated anyone since 2011 and I had recently left a relationship. We became very good friends before pursuing a relationship with each other as we were both being cautious. Once the relationship started it was only a few months before we said I love you to each other.

We met at work--he worked at his dad's photography studio and his dad hired me. He told both of us not to get involved with each other.... now he's like our #1 fan.

We met in 1985 when I was 15 and he was barely 20. We met at a community center dance. He was casually dating a friend of mine but we liked each other immediately but neither of us was willing to cross that line. She wasn't interested in him and saw the spark with us and encouraged it. We dated for 6 months or so until he left for the Navy. We broke up under good terms. My late father really liked him, that helps me feel like I have his blessing! Flash forward to 2014 and we found each other on Facebook. We were friends on there and on the phone for a few years until April 2017 when he called and told me he was taking me to dinner and I wasn't allowed to say no. He'd been trying but I wasn't interested in romance but I agreed to go. We've been together since! He proposed 7 months later. We're having our wedding and reception at the community center where we met 34 years ago
